The Twelth Night

Its only twelve more nights until the BIGGEST day of the year. The day my whole family will gather for something special ... Christmas Day! The day were hate is no more, love conquers all and were we all gather around the fireplace giving and receiving presents. Enjoying that big Christmas dinner that  one family relative makes every year, in my case my Nan. No lights needed because smiles light up the table, fire burning warming everybody up........ But all that is in twelve long drawn out nights away. First I have to get dragged through the christmas shoppers all frantically rushing in and out of shops this is shopping HELL. The madness of getting those special 'Christmas Clothes'. Then there's that hard puzzle of thinking of what to get those special loved ones that present that makes their smile go so big its like the 'joker' of batman but nicer.

Day 1- 11 more nights.
Putting the decorations up all pretty and nice, bright and colorful. But first comes the arguing of who wants to put this up, and who wants to put that up,  where does this one go "NOT there" screams mum in a tone that makes you feel you have just committed a sin the easy ones go up first. Then there's the tree. The one thing where everyone puts that one little decoration: baulbles, candy cane, tinsel not forgetting the most important decoration that old ragged bauble I created in nursery, this is falling apart in all places however mum insists it takes pride of place in the centre of the tree how embarrassing for me. The day just carried on as normal.
Day 2- 10 more nights.
Mum and dad announce unexpectedly we are going somewhere exciting for four days and if we are good we can visit Santa in his magical grotto. The excitement is killing me I can't wait. On the way to the resort I imagined how Santa would look and whether he did even exist. We arrived at our hotel and it was late and extremely cold we had a hot drink and went straight to bed.
Day 3- 9 more nights.
We were good enough to go to the grotto. We got outside and there were loads of excited kids all waiting patiently. What am I going to say, he's the big man I don't want to be cheeky but I want to be assertive oh no. We walked through the majestic wonderland with lights and moving decorations it was absolutely amazing with a cherry on top and at the end of it santa was there and i got to sit on his lap. He asked me that famous question 'Have you been good or bad?' I replied in a low voice I have been really good, cautious incase he knew otherwise. He then slipped his white gloves into his huge sack and pulled out a present just for me, we then had our picture taken, Mum and Dad peering on with that old familiar smile.  Just before I got off he whispered "see you soon James". Then we walked off through the rest of the grotto and there was a real life rudolf at the end of it.
It was a supreme day when we got back to the hotel there was a note saying "see you soon J" mum and dad where spooked, so was I.
Day 4- 8 more nights.
Mum said we were going to have a relaxing day today to get over the excitement of yesterday but I was still spooked about that note. We went down to breakfast and there was toast that said on one piece C then on the other U and on the other SOON and finally on the other J . This started getting me thinking about santa a lot more, We stayed in the Hotel for the rest of the day because of heavy downpour, I was glaring out of the window and to my amazement I noticed on the condensation it said in foggy letters "see you soon James."  I was definitely spooked now.
Day 5- 7 more nights.
More Downpour, no notes, stayed in.
Day 6- 6 more nights.
More Downpour, one note, stayed in. The note just said "see you soon James" but it was a text from an unknown number, still thinking whether to tell mum.
Day 7- 5 more nights.
Journey home. Thank god we're on our way home all we have done has stayed in mostly except when we saw santa and it was boss on the way home there was a motorway sign all illuminated and it said "see you soon James"
It's really getting freaky now, who wants me and who will see me soon I'm going to have to tell mum. after a long journey we got home to find a letter to master James Tomkins, thats me. I opened it it said see you soon, whoever wants me knows where I live I was panic stricken.
Day 8- 4 more nights.
We just went out to get a few last minute presents to  Liverpool9, a huge shopping centre. we didn't get much, I just got a little something for mum and dad.  On the way home on the radio there was a "Christmas Shoutout" and it said a big christmas shoutout to James Tomkins see you soon.
Day 9- 3 more nights.
Its getting closer to christmas but also to this person wanting to see me. The note said see you in 3 nights. I'm really freaking out!
Day 10- 2 more nights.
The anticipation is killing me, literally. It's started snowing, which was amazing I haven't had so much fun in ages. I had the best time of my life I launched a snowball right at my mum and dad. It was so funny.
Day 11- 1 more night.
Stayed in. Oh my god Its nearly time but then again its nearly time for this mysterious guest to "see me soon". I'm excited but then again scared oh no! What am I going to do? I will definitely not sleep tonight......
Day 12 - 0 more nights.
I woke up and there was a big crash downstairs, I came rushing down and right infront of my eyes He was sat infront of me...... It was... Father Christmas he said I told you I would see you soon, The relief was UNBELIEVABLE. I charged at him and went it was you, you were the one with the notes, he replied I didn't send any notes .......
